Physical Characteristics

     Vetch has green leaves,with flowers that can be pinkish white and blue violet most of the time it is purple violet. It can grow to 12 feet long. The plant its self is green but, the leaves have a slightly different green. The flower size is  about a inch  for the width  and a 1 1/2 inch for the length.

Habitat

      The habitats are grasslands,farmlands,heathlands, towns and gardens and woodlands.

    

Edibility

     Vetch is not edible. If you eat it, it will cause a sic reaction and you can die. Especially if you eat to much the toxicity will swell up and you will get very sic and expected to die. But only if you eat it,it will toxic you not if you touch it.

Medical Uses

   Vetch is not used for medicine because its toxicity. Mostly all the parts of this plant including the seeds are toxic.

Other Uses

Vetch can be used for erosion control Vetch's capacity to provide a heavy mulch aids in soil and water conservation. Vetch is valuable fur use in no-till corn rotations, especially in regions that are less favorable for clover and pea cultivation. Livestock- it is grown for hay, pasture, silage, seed or as interim cover on soil.

     Vetches are naturally found on all continents but Australia and Antarctica.

Nitrogen fixing plant- this plant creates its own nitrogen through a symbiotic relationship with microorganisms (bacteria)in its roots. Ground cover plant- vining/running or scrambling plant, can rise up to 4 feet without support, but typically about only half that height.
